Mr. Upchurch is a principal/partner in Heebner, Baggett, Upchurch & Garthe, P.L. He is a life-long Florida resident and Eagle Scout, obtaining his undergraduate degree from Furman University and his J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law. Following graduation, he joined the firm of Cobb, Cole and Bell as an associate attorney, representing clients' interests before the Florida Legislature. Subsequently, Mr. Upchurch worked in excess of six years for the Office of the Attorney General, where he started in the Sales and Use Tax Section and was promoted to the Senior Attorney position within the Eminent Domain Section.

While living in Tallahassee, Mr. Upchurch was a member of Tallahassee Bar, served as the President of the Tallahassee Bar Young Lawyers Division and was elected as the 2^nd Circuit Representative for the Florida Bar Board of Governors Young Lawyers Division. Upon moving back to Ormand Beach, Mr. Upchruch joind the Volusia County Bar where he served on the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2006 and was elected as the President of the Volusia County Bar from 2006-2007. He is a member of the Florida Eminent Domain Committee,Rotary Club of Daytona Beach, the Volusia County Bar Association, a youth soccer coach and a Board of Director for Ormand Beach Soccer.

Mr. Upchurch practices primarily in the area of eminent domain/ governmental taking, as well as contract negotiation, documentation and litigation.
